My hope and conviction, is that God will unite our diverse and independent churches into a team committed to winning Ontario to Jesus through passionate prayer, obedient surrender, and creative partnerships.
Ed began in his role as Executive Director for the Ontario MB Conference in September, 2012. Prior to that he was in Pastoral ministry for over 25 years. Most recently he served as a location Leader for Southridge Community Church. He planted Gateway Christian Fellowship in 2000 and was Lead Pastor until they joined Southridge in 2010. Earlier he served in pastoral roles at Scott Street MB Church in St. Catharines and began his ministry at Cornerstone Community Church in Dartmouth N.S. back in 1986. Ed is happily married to high school sweetheart Karin and they have three daughters, Kiersten (married to Eric) Renee and Breanna. Ed has sensed a clear call of God to this new ministry assignment. With a deep passion to see churches unite around a clear vision – he has been working diligently to facilitate collaboration, provide accountability and encourage blessing. Although our churches are very unique and scattered across a vast province, Ed believes strongly that God is doing a new work among these churches and that there is a very special and unique future ahead. As there is a new focus on healthy aligning of passion and compassion Ed believes we will see many people won for Jesus in Ontario. Ed gained a BRS from MBBC, a BA from the University of Winnipeg, and an MDiv from MBBS when it was still situated in sunny California. Ed strives to be a life long learner and has taken many seminars and training events. Most recently he has been certified as a COACH.
